The site is designed for overseas fans who want to watch the tournament in person and can be accessed via a link.
Tickets will be sold as one-day passes for both games on the day of purchase, with reserved seats for the Japanese game and unreserved seats for the other games in the area of the ticket type purchased. However, some seats (cheering section) for the 18th and 19th games will be sold as reserved seats.
The APBC was created to give young players from each country the opportunity to compete in national competitions and gain national pride, and to discover promising and star players who will play in international tournaments such as the WBC in the future, and the first tournament was held in 2017.
At that time, the KBO sent prospects such as Kim Ha-seong, who is currently playing for Major League Baseball’s San Diego, Kiwoom Lee Jung-hoo, NC Koo Chang-mo, and Samsung Koo Ja-rook, who are now signature players representing the league.
The second edition of the APBC 2023 will take place from November 16-19 at the Tokyo Dome in Japan. The tournament will feature a total of four nations, with Australia confirmed to participate for the first time, in addition to the usual three nations of South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. Each team will compete in a three-game preliminary round-robin pool, with the first- and second-place teams playing in the final, and the third- and fourth-place teams playing for third place.
Teams will consist of 26 players who are 24 years old or younger (born on or after January 1, 1999) or in their third year of professional competition, plus three wildcard players. The KBO, which announced a preliminary 62-man roster on March 31, will finalize the final 26-man roster in the middle of next month.
